NameHer™
in Mexico

Mexico isn’t your purpose, just the doorway to it.

Three days in a room with five other women. Then twenty five more days, through the end of the year.

Who this is for

You already did the brave thing. You left the US or the UK. You built a life here and still can’t decide what to do next.

You’ve got the mornings that belong to you. You’ve got the apartment. Maybe you’re building a house or thinking about it. You still wake up running errands for somebody in your own head.

The woman who got you out of there is still on duty. She was built to survive something that is over now, and she has never once been told she can stand down. So she keeps performing, and you keep calling it a decision you can’t make.

Give yourself three days to see who you’ve been acting as, name her, and decide whether she comes with you.

What makes this different

Most retreats end at the airport.

You fly home full. Within a week the week has eaten it, and six months later the whole thing is a photograph. This one keeps going after you leave.

The three days in Playa are the opening days of NameHer™, my twenty eight day program. The rest arrives daily on audio, wherever you are. The last day lands on New Year’s Eve.

Dec 1

You meet the other five before you travel

A virtual party and open Q&A. Your pre-arrival voice note and first exercise go out the same day. Nobody walks into Friday night a stranger.

Dec 4 to 6

Three days in Playa del Carmen

Days 1 to 3, in person, led by me. Workshop, bodyshop, playshop.

Dec 7 to 31

Days 4 to 28, daily, on audio

One recording and one piece of work a day, in a private channel. Fifteen to twenty minutes. Christmas sits inside this and the audio waits for you.

Dec 31

Leave her in 2026. A decision.

On the last night of the year you decide whether the woman you’ve been acting as comes into the next one. That’s the whole point of the twenty five days, and it’s the part a weekend on its own can’t give you. You won’t do it alone. Each woman posts her retirement statement in our private room before midnight, beside the women who sat in Playa with her.

The twenty eight days

NameHer™ four movements

Each one takes a week. The first opens in the room with me and finishes at your kitchen table.

Dec 4 to 10

Witness Her

You say out loud who you’ve been performing as, and then you watch her for a week without flinching.

Dec 11 to 17

Trace Her

Where she came from. What she was built to protect you from, and whether that thing still exists.

Dec 18 to 24

Expose Her

What she costs you now. The decisions she has been making on your behalf while you thought you were stuck.

Dec 25 to 31

Name Her

You give her a name, you thank her, and you decide. It ends on New Year’s Eve.

December 4 to 6

The three days

Friday evening, a full Saturday, and Sunday until early afternoon. Roughly a day and a half of your actual time, which is what makes it reachable whether you drive down from Cancún or fly in from somewhere else in Mexico.

Friday

The circle

Arrive any time from four. Nothing you need starts before six, so an afternoon flight and a drive after work both get you here in time. At 5:45 the doors close and the phones go away for the night.

Then each woman says out loud, to the room, who she has been performing as. Most have never said it to another person. Then dinner together, at a table booked for all of us where every woman orders her own, with no structure on it, because the bond goes deeper over food.

Saturday

Workshop and bodyshop

The morning is on paper. The roles, the performances, the patterns, in writing, shared only if you want to share it. Then a long lunch, together or on your own, at one of two places nearby I’ll point you to.

The afternoon moves to the water. We walk there in silence and work in your body, because you’ve been holding this for years and paper doesn’t reach it. The evening is free. You need a night to yourself.

Sunday

Playshop

What you noticed, turned into something you can hold. Your first draft of the woman you’ve been.

Then a full hour on exactly how the next twenty five days run, so you leave knowing what Christmas week will ask of you. Closing circle and photographs. There’s time to be back in Tulum or Cancún by evening, or on a late flight out.

Included

What a seat buys

Dec 1

The virtual party and Q&A, your pre-arrival voice note, and the first exercise

Dec 4 to 6

Three days in person in Playa del Carmen, led by me. Coffee, tea, fruit and light snacks in the room each day, and a table booked for all of us at Friday dinner

Dec 7 to 31

Days 4 to 28 of NameHer™, delivered daily on audio with the exercise for each day

All December

A private group for these six women only. Voice notes, questions, each other

Before you land

Everything you need to know answered in writing. What to wear, what to bring, where to eat, how to get here

Sunday

Printed materials for all twenty eight days, and something to carry home

Dec 31

The decision itself, on New Year’s Eve, shared in our private room with the other women. You leave her in 2026

After

Lifetime access to the whole audio program. All twenty eight days stay yours, to run again whenever you need them

Your own lodging, travel and meals. This is an event rather than a stay, which is why it works for women already living in Mexico. Playa, Cancún and Tulum are a drive. Mérida, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta are a short flight into Cancún.

A gift, only for the six

ChooseHer™: The Woman You’re Being in 2027

A live workshop on Saturday, January 9. You name who comes next and you choose her, nine days after you retire the woman you’ve been. It sells on its own for $111.

It isn’t part of the three days and it isn’t part of the twenty eight. I’m giving it to the women in this first circle, because you’re the ones going first.

Before you join us

Read both columns

Five women sitting together on a green velvet sofa, laughing and leaning into one another

This is for you if

  • You already moved. The hard part is behind you and the next part has no shape yet.
  • You can get to Playa del Carmen for three days in December, whether that is a drive down the coast or a flight from your side of the country.
  • You’re willing to say something true out loud in front of five women who don’t know you.
  • You want the work to continue after you go home, and you’ll put fifteen minutes into it a day.

This is not for you if

  • You want a spa weekend. There’s rest in this, and rest isn’t what it does.
  • You want a business strategy session. We work on who you’ve been, and the business decisions follow it rather than lead it.
  • You would rather listen than speak. Five other women are counting on you to go first sometimes.
  • December is already full. Say so, and come to the next one in the spring.

The investment

$777 for this first circle

$777

Six seats announced.
The next circle is $1,111.

Pay in full

$777

Or in two

$400 now and $400 by November 28. That comes to $800, and both have to clear before you arrive.

Refunds

All payments are final. A seat that can’t be given back is what makes you book the time off and treat the date as real.

Not included

Lodging, travel and meals. Friday dinner is a table booked for all of us, and each woman orders her own. I’ll send recommendations for where to stay, how to get here and where to eat.

Hold a seat by November 6 and you also get a private one-to-one session with me before December 1, on the one thing you can’t decide. Yours for moving early. It comes off the table on November 7.

I’d rather talk first, because six seats means I care who’s in them. If you’ve already decided, take the second door. Either way you’ll hear from me within the hour.

Meet your host

Que Athena in a patterned kaftan and headwrap, photographed from behind and from the front beside a large banana plant

Hiyaaa! I’m Que Athena.

I’m an identity and reinvention mentor, and I live here in Playa.

I spent a decade making women feel like themselves on the biggest day of their lives, running a bridal beauty business in Charlotte. Then my marriage ended, and then the business closed, and I got on a plane for what I was still calling a trip. I’ve been living out of one carry-on ever since. Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Holbox, a winter in England.

Here’s the part nobody warned me about. Leaving was the easy decision.

What took me far longer was noticing that I’d brought her with me. The woman who held all of it together while a marriage was ending. She was competent and she was exhausted, and she was still running my life in a country where nothing was chasing me anymore.

I named her. Then I retired her. That work is what NextSeasonHer™ is, and NameHer™ is where it starts.

I’m forty, I’ve done this in six countries, and I’ve got no interest in telling you to manifest anything. What I’ve got for you is three days, five other women, and a name.

Certified in life, confidence and transformational coaching.

In her words

Ashley laughing with two friends beside a mirror

“I started seeing myself again and showing up for myself.”

“I was tired and overwhelmed, and even things around the house felt like too much because I was always the person everyone came to with questions. Que came in, saw something that needed to be done, and tackled it without making me figure out every step. She kept me informed along the way, which helped me let go without feeling out of control. Having that one thing off my plate gave me room to breathe and start tackling other things. As I did, I started seeing myself again and showing up for myself. I especially appreciate that she came out of retirement to help me feel confident in my appearance again, showing me looks I could actually manage on my own. That little boost meant so much when I hadn’t felt like myself in a while.”

Before you ask

Here are the practical things

Where exactly is it?

Central Playa del Carmen, within ten minutes of the beach, in a private room rather than a public floor. The address goes to the six women once the room is confirmed.

Do I need to stay in Playa?

No. Some women will drive in from Tulum or Cancún each day and sleep in their own beds. If you’re flying in from Mexico City, Mérida or anywhere else in the country, book three nights here and tell me, and I’ll send you three places I’d put my own mother in.

Is food included?

Coffee, tea, water, fruit and light snacks are in the room every day. Meals are yours, which means every woman eats what her body needs and nobody pays for a set menu she can’t eat. Friday dinner is a table booked for all of us, each woman ordering her own, and Saturday has a long lunch break with two places nearby I’ll send you to.

What if I can’t get there by six on Friday?

Arrival runs from four to 5:45 with nothing programmed in it. If traffic from Cancún or a delayed flight makes you late, message me and I’ll hold the circle a few minutes. You won’t miss the opening.

What happens if I fall behind in December?

Christmas week sits in the middle of this and I built it knowing that. The audio is recorded and waiting, so a day you miss costs you nothing. Nobody in this program is behind. The program also stays yours for life once day 28 is done, so a week you lose in December is a week you can take again in March.

Is this therapy?

This is identity work led by a mentor. It sits alongside therapy and it doesn’t replace it. If you’re in the middle of something acute, tell me when you message and I’ll be honest with you about whether December is the right month.

What happens after December 31?

You’ll have retired her, and nine days later you choose who comes next. That’s ChooseHer™ on January 9, and it’s my gift to this first circle. After that, what comes next is yours to decide, and I’ll tell you about it when you ask.
